Different opinions about mainstream music of today

1. I think music is different today because the business is different & the public is different as well. Not to mention the internet revolutionized the music industry.
2. I think a lot of the best music that has been made is being done in these times. People are too busy criticizing what is fashionable to realize the amount of creative and talented artists that exist right now, doing real wonders inspired in all the discoveries and musical explorations of the twentieth century.
3. I think that mainstream music is fueled by society’s obsession with fame and fortune. I've noticed this particularly in follow-up albums for up and coming bands. Their debut album is about them and their feelings; they write for themselves.
4. My opinion on today’s popular music is the same as anyone else’s really; that yeah, it could be better. Does that mean that there isn't good music out there on mainstream radio? Hell no. There’s a lot of dope stuff on pop radio right now; I’m listening to some right now on Spotify (Foster the People, Khalid, Normani, Dua Lipa, John Mayer, etc.).

Meh. Most of it sounds very similar, very scripted by an executive somewhere. Every song seems to copy any other song that recently was popular.
